At Mithril, we manufacture Scale Coupons to help our clients determine whether scaling (accumulation of mineral deposits) is a significant issue. Scale coupons artificially encourage scale to develop on their surface due to their relatively large surface areas.

Meets NACE SP0775 specifications.

Features

  • No cold worked surfaces
  • Material 1018 carbon steel unless stated otherwise by the customer
  • Ground finish
  • Each coupon is stamped with unique serial number
  • Weight in grams is supplied to the nearest 4th decimal
  • Nylon or Teflon insulation for elevated temperatures (120 to 260 °C)
  • Each coupon is packed in moisture resistant vapor phase inhibited envelopes, corrosion free shelf life of 1 year.
  • Standard 3″ Scale Coupon dimensions: 76.2 X 19 X 3.2 (mm)
  • Configurations to sizes and material are available upon request
